Uipm 2022 Youth U19 & U17 World Championships: Egypt wins U19 women’s relay, Italian girls ninth
The “Uipm 2022 U19/U17 World Championships”, the World Youth Championships in Modern Pentathlon being held in Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD), are coming to a head. At the “Bella Italia Efa Village”, in the U19 women’s relay, it was the Egyptian pair of athletes formed by Zeina Amer and Malak Ismail who triumphed with 989 points, ahead of Britain’s Verity Clements and Gabrielle Holland with 979. Bronze for Korea’s Sumin Shin and Yena Kim with 971. Ninth place for the Italian relay formed by Sara Forti (Nice 55) and Teresa Gioia (Pentafiano) with 914 points, twelfth position for the other Italian pair with Valentina Martinescu (Junior Asti) and Elena Petricca (Pentafiano), at 817.
Tomorrow is the third day of competition in Lignano Sabbiadoro. In the morning, the U19 mixed relay is scheduled with two Italian pairs: Matteo Bovenzi (Area 51) and Elisa Sala (Avia Pervia), Matteo Amadei (Athlion Roma) and Elena Petricca (Pentafiano). In the afternoon, the Under-17 women’s semifinal with Annachiara Allara (Scuola Sport) competing.
